Livio Lauro is an internationally recognized drinks expert, author, and educator whose career in hospitality began over 30 years ago on the island of Ischia in Southern Italy.

He is the author of The Liquid Legacy, a 2025 Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards Top 10 nominee for Best New Book on Drinks Culture, History, or Spirits, and co-author of The 12 Cocktails and The Beverage Engineer. Livio also hosts the popular YouTube series Master Your Glass, where he shares insights on cocktails, spirits, and the art of hospitality.

In 2002, Livio passed his final exam with the Italian Bartenders Association earning him the prestigious Capobarman AIBES sanctioning.

Widely celebrated as one of the most instrumental figures in the resurgence of the United States Bartenders’ Guild, he served as National President from 2004 to 2010.

Since 2001, Livio has been with Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits, working alongside leading bartenders, distillers, and hospitality groups to design and execute successful brand activations. His seminars—renowned for their innovation and trend-setting perspective—are regularly featured at major industry trade shows around the world.

A passionate researcher and collector, Livio owns more than 1,400 vintage and modern books on mixology, drinks, and hospitality. He is also the founder and designer of the EuroBar Station and serves as a resident lecturer in alcoholic beverages at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, home to the nation’s top-ranked hospitality program.

Throughout his career, Livio has received multiple international awards, including Best Hospitality Trainer at the 2025 Bar & Restaurant Show in Las Vegas. His legacy continues to shape modern cocktail culture, bridging tradition, education, and innovation.
